TRENDnet Delivers First 450 Mbps Dual-Band Wireless N HD Media Bridge
23.05.12
TRENDnet has launched the first-to-market 450 Mbps Dual Band Wireless N HD Media Bridge, a device that can work with a complementary router to extend a home network and deliver what TRENDnet states is, "a whole-home 450 Mbps wireless network."
With this new piece of networking hardware, model TEW-680MB, users can connect up to four media devices in a home theatre or entertainment system (even away from the room where the router resides) including media players, gaming consoles, Internet TVs, Network Video Recorders, or IP cameras. Those devices can take advantage of the 450 Mbps if the media bridge is connected to a 450-Mbps router, like TRENDnet's 450 Mbps Concurrent Dual Band Wireless N Router (TEW-692GR) . If the bridge is connected to a 300 Mbps router, then that would be the maximum highest potential throughput.
