I just got a Linksys E1000 wireless-N router and i set it up, everything connects to it. but when i try to connect with Xbox Live it says that my NAT type is moderate. i didn't have this problem before and i had the WRT54G router. i also have the wireless G adapter on my 360. How do i open the NAT type? and would getting a wireless N adapter for the 360 help?

I've connected the router to my desktop and the internet on my desktop is working fine..
but when i try to install the adapter to my desktop...it doesnt get installed properly..
and i tried to install it like over 10times already...T^T
what's the problem here? is there something that's not letting me install the adpater? or
is it because I'm using a "N wireless router" and a "G USB adapter" together??
sorry...these questions might sound stupid..but i'm rly confused and don't understand anything about these things...please help..T^T

I recently got a 802.11b/g Wireless Adapter to get Wi-Fi at my house. However, when I went to the "Ralink Wireless Utility" a message came up saying, "ICS is already bound by another network device." What does this mean, and what can I do to fix it? All answers are appreciated!
ICS is Internet Connection Sharing.
You have another network device which is active. Go to Network Connections and disable all the Connections except the Wireless one.
I have a wireless (G i think..) router in another room. I have just been running an Ethernet cable from one of the ports straight to my xbox across the room. However, I just got myself a new widescreen HD tv that I have in my room near my 2008 IMac which operates via the wireless router in the other room. Theoretically I should just be able to run a cable to the Mac just like I did the router, essentially turning my IMac into a slightly more overpriced version of the already overpriced Microsoft Network adapter.
Can I do this, and if so, will I have to change all my network info on the Xbox such as DNS and IP?
I wouldn't count on it. TiVo has quit adding support for 3rd party adapter manufacturers about four years ago.
Your only practical option is TiVos own G adapter.
I recently just set up a Hawking Extender to extend the range of my router. I have two computers. One is a laptop running Vista, and this one recognizes the extender's network as being secured by a WEP key, so when I connect to it, I type in the key and everything works perfectly.

The other computer (a desktop) however, is quite old and has a Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter. It runs XP. This one connects to my router's network fine. When I connect to my router's network, it recognizes that it is secured by a WEP key and I have to input it and everything works perfectly.
With the EXTENDER however, when I try to connect to that network, three things are weird.
1. The computer recognizes it as an UNSECURED network, instead of the secured one it is.
2. It's SSID is Net_Ext$QÜ instead of being just Net_Ext, like it shows up on my laptop.
3. When I attempt to connect to this "unsecured" extender's network, nothing happens, no error message, no nothing. It just goes back to the screen with networks in range.
