How would I use my Linksys router as a bridge..?

I got my own computer the other day, but my parents cant find out.

I have 2 routers of the exact same kind both have a wireless connection antennas, and I would like to know a safe place to download what I need to download, and a very detailed summary in exactly what i need to do to connect my router in my bedroom to the router in my living room.

The router in my living room is connected to the Modem, and wireless to one computer and an ethernet cable to another computer.

Suggest me which version of MAC OS X is working in my compaq 610 notebook?

Porting Wireless internet through your Ethernet port?

how do you take your wireless internet connection and make it exit through your Ethernet port. This way i can plug my xbox into it to play online.

I thought you could do it by bridging your connections together, but that hasn't worked for me.

so, I am very close to buying an Xbox, and have noticed that it would be cheaper to just connect the Xbox through Ethernet, rather than having a wireless adapter. Problem is, I already have one, and it's in my dad's office. He has been kind enough to lend me a D-Link, DIR-825. What I need to do now is find out how to turn this router into a bridge. So far all I've been seeing is crap that I can't understand. Could someone please help me on this?
