so, I am very close to buying an Xbox, and have noticed that it would be cheaper to just connect the Xbox through Ethernet, rather than having a wireless adapter. Problem is, I already have one, and it's in my dad's office. He has been kind enough to lend me a D-Link, DIR-825. What I need to do now is find out how to turn this router into a bridge. So far all I've been seeing is crap that I can't understand. Could someone please help me on this?
I was at my friends house, and how he gets internet onto his xbox 360, is by using his computers wireless connection, he simply connects to his routher via his wireless adapter, and runs an ethernet cable from the computer internal modem, to the xbox.
I CANNOT seem to figure out how he got it to work though, I've tried everything, not many people even talk about it on google, so if anyone knows please help me out, first person to get this to work gets best answer.
hmm..i do the same thing that your friend does,i connect the ethernet cord to my internet modem it took me 2 days to get mines working,so just continue trying

Well, from experience I can tell you that you need to open your connections and bridge them to make it work. Otherwise your xbox will not receive the connection from your laptop.

I have 1 desktop pc that is connected to the internet via a wireless netgear adapter. I also have another PC within 3 feet of the other, WITHOUT a wireless/wired internet connection. By any chance, is it possible to connect the wifi enabled PC to the other via an ethernet cable, or some other cheap product that would allow me to only use 1 wireless adapter?

I have Verizon Fios and thus got the Actiontec MI424WR router. I connected the router to my laptop via ethernet to get faster speeds of 100mbs. Now my desktop doesnt have a wireless adapter, therefore I connected a WRT300N router to it. Is there any way of getting the WRT300N router to wirelessly connect to the Fios Router, as with my current configuration my laptop has internet, but my desktop doesnt. I dont want to connect my desktop to the Fios router, as I dont use my desktop that much.
