You certainly don't need the word Dell on it. If you only shop and download music online, all you need is this for $200:

Well to start off dump the entire system and reconfigure with the same specs to an HP, Acer, or some other brand unless you want nothing but problems.
DELL has the absolute WORST customer service after the sell and Your 2 year service plan only means you will be able to have a chat with a tech but no real help.
Also any devices you may wish to add as after-market will have to be purchased from Dell if you want them to work correctly...this includes cameras, speakers and head phones.
The same applies to new hard drives and or dvd/cd players or burners.
Dell does not care about the customer after the sell...once they get your money you are SOL sorry to say.

That looks about right, except that the monitor is really, REALLY tiny. It's a16:9 aspect ratio monitor.
That would compare in viewable area to a 14 or 15" 4:3 ratio monitor.
If you're going for a widescreen, I'd suggest you get at LEAST a 22"
Ok so my ps3(80gb) had the ylod and this the second time it broke but i got fix with fluxing(i didnt use flux the first time it broke), & when i was finished i get the error "80010201" as i turn on my ps3(not signed into PSN yet) and my controller wont connect and i have to use usb on able for my controller to connect and i tried to reset all the settings and reset my controller and i notice that the light on my LAN on the back doesnt light and there is no connectivity and cant even scan any wireless network and we have a wifi and my neighbors too. My dad said it might be the ribbon cable that connects on the thing under the mem. stick slots coz i notice that there is a wifi antenna underneath that thing. any advice? or where can i get that ribbon to fix that problem? thanks!

Hi,
My Wireless card has blown and I require a new one.
I have a D-link N Router from Virgin which is the DIR-615 model,
I would like to use a Dongle instead of a PCI card. I have seen they are cheaper as well.
What is the difference between the following (for example), would I get a different performace? I have 10mg broadband.
I thought the Linksys WUSB600N looks like a quality make. Posted links to where I saw the spec and decent prices.

I have a wireless router and I'm trying not to buy new hardware like an external phone jack for my laptop. I have a dell inspiron mini 10 and all it has is ethernet. Can I hook up the phone cord to my desktop and an ethernet from desktop to router and from the router to my laptop? I have a linksys and its also wireless. I also have a belkin wireless network card that goes into the usb. Is there anything at all that i can do?

I have a Toshiba Tecra 9100 laptop that I installed Xubuntu Linux on it. The only problem I'm having is that, while the wireless card does detect networks and "connects" (but doesn't actually allow network access), it only allows WEP passwords. The card is a Mini PCI Wireless card (I forget which model, sorry). I've tried all kinds of solutions and drivers (even tried various drivers when Windows XP was installed to no avail). The only thing I can think to do now is to either get a USB wireless adapter, or a new Mini PCI card. I would prefer a new Mini PCI card, but don't know which ones work well with Linus and this kind of laptop. Any ideas?

I bought this wireless adapter about 2 years ago, and discontinued using it after about two months because the correlation was very uneven and sluggardly. Their patron truss cane was utterly and unequivocally unhelpful. I later found out that part of the complication was the Netgear wireless router, which was treacherous in its skills to despatch the signals, and I had to unplug and then fully restart both the Mailgram modem and the router several times a day. I switched to a Netgear wire router, which was only somewhat more credible and was gifted to hand over higher speeds, but I still found myself unplugging and restarting every few days.
I recently bought a new non-Netgear wireless router (Linksys, which works tremendous), and the Netgear adapter seems to be working well, that is, until it starts to overheat. It only takes a few hours for it to overheat and it well-grounded stops working, so I have to unplug it to let it unfriendly down then replug. I’ve study that others have been experiencing the same trouble with their wireless adapters.
