Running an HP Pavilion ze1115 with Ubuntu 9.10. No problems seeing other networks - secured and unsecured. Checked the router settings - everything normal - all other wireless PC's up and running in seconds. Using this as a generic house PC - could be too much old BS trying to communicate and work together. I'm sure it's also Microsoft's fault somehow. Been to Linksys and Belkin's sites and submitted questions and wandered through the Support sections as well.

Ok I really need help with my wireless! Ok Ill start from the top! I got my computer just over a year ago and near the end of the 1 year warranty my computer started messing up! So I sent it to get fixed and I got it back and everything is working fine! Accept for my wireless oh and its more laggy when I boot it up but w/e! I tried using what I had before what was BELKIN wireless G usb network adapter! and everything was going fine till I went to connect to my network! I would get "error 223" and it kept saying!

I tried for like an hour to get it working but no dice! So I went out and got a wireless card and popped it in made sure its in right then did the setup! And low and behold Im getting the same error! I tried turning off my firewall, calling where I got my computer for support and I googled "error 233" and I got nothing!
I could really use help on this! Oh and if it helps my wireless card is a linksys N ultra wireless card and the model is WMP600N! plz plz PLZ help me!
I have an xbox 360 that has a fried ethernet chip/port. We have several power outages during the course of the year at our apartment and ithink its the cause behind the malfunction. Whatever, the problem is i cant hook it up to a network or xbox live. It doesnt even read there is an ether net cable. Its the same cable ive always used. I checked the cable and there is no problem with it. the system is 2.5 years old which means it still falls under the 3yr warranty for RROD but im sure the ethernet shit isnt covered. I have a 20gb xbox system. I hear u can use usb flashdrives with the newest update which is fine because i mostly stream movies from netflix and videos from my computer. I just want to either get the RROD so i can try and get a new xbox or want to know what else i can do. I AM NOT USING WIRELESS ADAPTER as i would need to buy an N-router and the new adapter if i wanted to make it work good and i dont have that much to spend.
What I suggest you do to get the RRoD is to cover up your xbox 360 with towels.
2 towels at the most. Cover it all up while you have your xbox 360 on.
Leave it there for about 20-30 mins.
After that, it should overheat. Wait 10 mins.
Try turning it on again, and you should have the 3 red rings.
I did that to mine because my warranty was running out and just wanted to get a new xbox instead, so i went ahead and did the towel thingy.,
I bought a DWA-130 WIRELESS N USB ADAPTER. I have windows 7. When I try to install the drivers for it, it does not read that the wireless adapter is plugged into the computer. Is this wireless adapter not compatible with windows 7, or is there any way I can make this work?

EnGenius’s ESR9850 wireless router is built with home networking in mind, and it is advertised as being very easy to set up. I did indeed find this to be the case, as all I needed to do was connect the router via ethernet cable to my cable modem and follow the Setup Wizard instructions. Even though the ESR9850 is branded as a consumer router, it is rated as N, with a max connectivity rate of 300 Mbps. In my tests, anywhere within 10 feet of the router gets top speed, and while the speed does drop off a bit to my desktop (which is a full 70 feet away from the router), I’m usually getting 162 Mbps, with occasional upticks to 212 Mbps and also occasional decreases to only 81 Mbps (my “bar” rating is usually between 2 and 3, but speeds are still faster than with my old router). While I was hoping for a little bit better range (70 feet is not exorbitantly far away for a router, especially consider houses that are much larger than mine), the speed is still considerably faster than our old entry-level Cisco router.
