I recovered my laptop and now have two copies of windows files.. do i need both?

My laptop was having issues and i had to use my recovery disk. but my c: Drive was full so i had to use my D: Drive.. now can i delete the ones of my old C: drive since it was from before my recovery? or are they needed? and if i can delete them then how do i switch the drives because the current drive with all the info on it has 250 gigs on it and so i want to use that for other things. So can i switch the drives or do i need to recover again after i remove the uneeded info?

How cheap do you think laptops will be around school time?

I'm looking at the cheapest laptops (NOT netbook!) possible. No more than $350. i'm going into 11th grade so i basically need it to type papers and surf the web. im not a gamer, expect maybe sims 2 occasionally, but i don't need much memory. how cheap do you think the cheapest laptops will be around the "back to school sales" time?

I have it set up like this

Mode: g and b
Security Options
X = checked, o = open
o:None
o:WEP
x:WPA-PSK [TKIP]
o:WPA2-PSK [AES]
o:WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES]

WEP doesnt work for my laptop i believe

Uninstalling the sims 3 after partial install when my battery died on my laptop :Sr?

I was installing the Sims 3 on my laptop when the battery died part way through installation. I have tried a hundred ways to uninstall the game now including removing the program in control panel and deleting the file from c:\\ program files. It is still there and i can't install the game anymore, it only wants to uninstall the sims 3. If that makes sense could you help me?

My touchpad and mouse won't work?

I was on my laptop and then all of a sudden when I went to left click on the mouse it wouldn't click. Then I try to use the touchpad to click but it still didn't work. Then I try to right click and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I tried to change the setting and testing out the hardware but it just seems to not work. Probably wondering how I even signed in and asked this question but I use the keyboard shortcuts that I remember when I was too lazy to use the mouse. But now I need the mouse. Please help before I have to go to some store and paying lots cause sometimes the answer is right there in front of you. Thanks :)
