My set up is a little different. I'm trying to use my wireless router for my Nintendo DS. The DS is very picky on signals. And I'm currently using my cellphone as a mobile modem. Usually I would ad hoc my cellphone connection through my wireless adapter, but that did not work for my DS. So i busted out wireless router in the closet, it's a Belkin N wireless router, F5D8236-4 v2. BUT the damn IP address keeps defaulting to a bad address. I had the same problem with my ad hoc connection, but i fixed it by assigning an IP address. Unfortunately that also disables DHCP, which I think the DS needs to work, plus the fact that it needs to be WEP encrypted. So I have a WEP wireless router with a bad IP address that needs to be compatible with a Nintendo DS, any ideas? By the way everything is connected through my computer. My cellphone: USB Data Cable. The Wireless Router: Local Area Connection. I have my ipod touch and my laptop's adapter testing the connection WHEW thats a lot of stuff lol.
Oh and I'm using ICS to connect the two.

I have a Belkin wireless n router, model F5D8233-4 version 4.
I don't use the wireless on it, but it is just turned on. Today the wireless led was blinking orange, no one in the house was trying to connect to it.
Is someone trying to hack/get into my wireless network.
NOT version 4, it is version 3.
i forgot to mention that i do have a security key. WPA/2
did you go in the router and make sure wireless broadcasting is turned off? if not it may be sending the signal out and someone can use it for free.

Today I turned on my 3 week old Dell Inspirion Notebook and my secure wireless connection that I'd set up when I got the laptop has disappeared as an connection option, leaving only an unsecure connection option. When I look for it under "Manage Wireless Networks", I can spot my secure connection there, but there's no way to connect to it. When I do use the diagnose and repair option, it says I'm out of range of my router, though I'm sitting right next to it.
I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop, and my router is a Belkin N+. The router works fine on my desktop, and all the lights are lit up on it, except the wireless one.
Any suggestions on what to do, in simple not-so-computer-minded wording?
This light on the belkin router was on for my son's laptop when online until I added my laptop to the system, now that light is off. My son said our laptops are still secure , if that's true then what is the secure lock light for?

Belkin Wireless Dual-Band Travel Router
20.05.12
An iPad is almost useless if you can’t score a WiFi connection. Okay, that’s an exaggeration, but a big part of the iPad’s usability is routed in its ability to surf the web as well as stream movies and music from the Net. So if you didn’t invest in a 3G model you’re sh*t out of luck, especially in hotel rooms, where often they only provide a wired connection.
The Belkin F9K1107 Wireless Dual-Band Travel Router is designed to be taken on the road and more importantly stuffed inside a bag. There is no mention of its actual measurements, but Belkin is tossing in a a carrying case that holds the plug and some additional cords. Like many of today’s full sized routers it supports WiFi b/g/n and simultaneous dual band mode. There is also the usual assortment of security protocols and even a push button WPS setup. So at the end of the day it’s a full featured router, though it lacks the additional Ethernet ports or a USB port for sharing storage devices on the network. It’s just too bad there isn’t a built-in battery.
except the lack of dual-band support(5 Ghz) , Belkin N+ (F5D8235-4) Wireless Router have all the Features you need from a wireless router and certainly worth its 80$

A great time to buy this! CompUSA is selling this for decently less than others. They have been selling it at this price for a while though.
