His old-time radios, numbering about 120 in his collection, range from the vintage Atwater Kent and Zenith, the five-tube Grebe Synchrophase and Radio Corporation of America (RCA) early superheterodyne Radiola to cathedral and tombstone radios such as Philco and Crosley.

His 1928 Majestic console radio encased in burl walnut neighbors his prized 1919 Sonora "Clear as a Bell" windup phonograph also suited up in stately walnut.

"It has kind of got out of hand," Meekins candidly said of his radios that are orderly crowded into his once-spacious garage along with a 1969 fire-mist red Corvette Stingray and a 1975 Jaguar coupe. "If I see some other things I want, I don't know where to put them."
