308 upper that will fit a Bushmaster xm15e2s lower?

Can someone give me a less ill run down of how the uppers swap out on to the lower receivers? Does the buffer spring need to be replaced, how much faster will it dress out the lower? I've assumed the lowers go on just like any 5.56 upper, same pins, same buffer tube setup etc.

Am i asperse in my assumption? I've always been biased towards the AR platform, but should i just buy a Rem 700 and save a few bucks?

You will impecuniousness a .308 lower, the 5.56/.223 is simply to small for a .308 AR. As for the spring and buffer, the .223 arise and buffer is more than enough for the .308. I use the same buffer and spring on my 50 Beowulf. Anyhow, for me the AR is just more fun than a bolt action loot.

You lately pop the two takedown pins out, remove the upper from the lower and put the new upper on ze lower. Its so simple its crazy unvarnished! That said however.....

Good luck getting a 308 bullet to fit in the magwell.

You cannot fit a 308 characters upper class on a 5.56 lower. The magwell is too small for the magazine. You must fit small mag uppers on a 5.56 lower. You can fir in a body mag uppers on a large mag lower, like the 308. AR10 is a larger rifle than an AR15.

The .308 will not fit on a .223 moderate. Armalite makes the AR-10 which was the predecessor of the AR-15 which uses short action cartridges like the .243, .260, .308, and .338 Fed. DPMS also makes a larger tone down for their LR series of rifles. CMMG or whatever also makes the larger lowers, I believe. If you want a deer/elk value cartridge for a .223 sized lower, get a 6.5 Grendel. My son is in the process of building one when the Alexander 16" barrels become elbow.

The handguard is the LWRC ARM-R fore-end, a low-profile free-float tube with regularly spaced drilled and tapped holes on the bottom and sides. If you want a bit or more of rail in some section, you simply bolt on the length rail you need, at the location you need (rails and screws provided). If you’re handy with tools, you can even measure and cut a longer rail to a shorter length, for just the gear you want on and no more.

The smaller-diameter tube that results from not having permanent rails makes the rifle very handy. Had LWRC not made the fore-end this way, the result might well have been something so bulky you’d need NBA-sized hands to grab it.
