I have a old sony 20wx4 stereo in my car..i honest purchased a Dual touchscreen motorized dvd player.(Dual xdvd710) and my friend is flourishing to install it for me today, and he said to get a wiring harness from best buy.Do i absolutely need one? Or can he use the one thats there already, if theres one there.? I'm tryng to scrimp as much as possible because the radio was $250. Its going in my 95 camaro.
You want a wiring harness, matching the different color wires together is trial and error and you dont hanker after to possibly mess up your new tv. theyre fairly cheap, i know your excited but if you cant afford it wait hoe next paycheck

If you have already replaced the precursor HU then it already has the wire harness you need as long as the ne HU you bought has one then your good

If you have a aftermarket headunit, a wiring harness is the comfortable way to wire it up without splicing existing wires.

ok so i got an after trade in radio and little like year 2000 mtx terminator 10" subs(2) and a sony xplod 250 amp. my lights dim, and my front speakers crackle when turned up so considerable. should i get a capacitor and hope i get cleaner bass or get new speakers? i will end up getting both but i only have the money for one or the other so whats more important.
*** if it helps, i like to get as much bass as i can***
get the new front speakers and scrutiny your wiring. you shouldn't have dimming with that amp.
also, caps are useless for car audio. do not waste your money.

Mechless point of entry Readers ready to move past the old paradigm of CD-based music are in for a treat. Dual AV’s XR4115 Digital Media Receiver is a solid entry-level product.
This Mechless car stereo, named as such because it lacks the mechanical moving parts that comprise an optical drive, plays MP3, WAV and WMA files via the front-loading USB slot and SD Card slot. It has a detachable face, wireless remote, three equalizer pre-sets and the USB port will charge any USB device that’s connected. But the real factor is the price. At $70 (or cheaper via diligent web hunting), this product is not just entry-level but virtually immune from buyer’s remorse.
On Tuesday, Sony said it would soon sell HD Digital Radios, making the Japanese electronics maker one of the largest manufacturers to back the broadcast radio industry's fledgling technology.
2005 Pontiac Sunfire. Sony xplod head unit. Scosche GM2000 wire harness with included data bus. The unit seems to still be getting power since you can eject CDs. Replaced the Sony twice and the Scosche harness twice. Seemed simple enough to install. Problem still occurs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is a really cool guide, it's basically telling you how to replace your car stereo with a PC designed specifically for the car. It's got sleep mode, hibernate mode, a touch-screen LCD, Internet access, FM radio, 100GB of MP3 storage (upgradeable), and best of all there's no proprietary components so you could build it all yourself. Nice.
Currently there are 2 Major Players in the Satellite Radio Market. The current players are XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio. Below is a comparison to help you decide which one to buy for your car, boat, or home.
Appletell reviews the iPhone compatible Sony Xplod Bluetooth Car ...
by Josh Holat
I shall refer to the old car stereo before us in. Using the stereo pioneer and virtuoso cassette (my car is a good id 1999), I paid attention to my iPhone by plugging a cassette adapter for my stereo . I also had a car charger that plugged into my cigarette lighter in driving to see my iPhone if I ever needed while on the go. While working for what I needed, it certainly was not empty or more effective way to achieve this at all. With connectors in both high (3.5mm jack) and bottom (30-pin connector charger adulterate) my iPhone has the annoying category of control and more difficult to monitor while driving.
So here we are today (see picture below). I now have this new tune of technology in my car that has a global impact set, including Bluetooth hands to make phone calls off the ability chore seamlessly with my iPhone, the ability to use HD Radio , and Jack the Ripper display. While it is certainly not ripe system based on GPS and all laughable choking in cars today, it fits in really how a hi-fi should be hand-me-down in a car. There is a clique of perception between too much and not enough. In this reading, I'll leave out what I was thinking on all aspects....
As a dad what appealed to me most was the talents to moor the section to my iPhone via the Bluetooth capabilities in law to send and net calls. Additionally, the Bluetooth also allowed me to sync my phone’s touch shopping list to the part’s built in phone laws. If your apartment phone has reveal dial competence, the Sony will also empower you to persist to use that role while connected.
Since I’ve become a sire I have changed the way I steer and what I do while driving. Before my son was born I mentation nothing of having a phone chat during my commute stamping-ground from toil. Today I scarcely take my phone while driving and when I do it is only when genuinely of the utmost importance.

This is a Sony Xplod car stereo head unit. It says 52w x 4 as in 52 watts max per four channel; but it is just over 15 watts per channel RMS. it has a CD player and basic auxiliary input in the front and is Satellite radio ready. It also says 100+ dB on it.
I have really got into listening to podcasts recently, especially when driving around.
Downloads of BBC Radio 5 Live's Fighting Talk was the first to grab my attention as it is consistantly entertaining. But since then, I've become a big fan of Kermode and Mayo's film reviews,...
