Hey everyone, I was caught between a swing and a hard place with deciding on what to get my Masters in, (I got my bachelors in Television and Radio) and I was always fascinated with Speech Language Pathology and the opportunities that prove to be c finish with it.
Let me know if you think I made the right decision.
I know it will be a lot of work and I'm willing to put the time in.
But I wasn't steadfast if I should do classes as a "non-degree" student for the prerequisites, "non-degree" would refer to more money per credit, (and you can't even apply for financial aid with "non-degree", or even take out a gov't loan, so if you don't have the money out of pocket, you would have to take out withdrawn loans which would cost more in the long run cuz the interest rate would be so high) and waiting until everyone who is actually enrolled in a BA for speech to indicate and then get your chance to register IF the classes aren't filled up by then, if they are, then sorry charlie wait until next semester.
But the pro with a "non-somewhat" is that you don't have to take as many credits/classes as if you were doing your bachelors in the program. But the difference is only by 3-4 classes.
But what I unquestioned to do is do a 2nd bachelors in speech, the pros for that is I get my first pick of classes, so I don't have to hope and pray that the classes will be available when I fundamental to take them, I'll be able to apply for financial aid, and if needed take out a gov't loan, and all he required prerequisites would be filled.
The only con is that I would have to take an additional 3 classes, which would set me back one semester, but at the end I would have a BA in Talk Language Pathology, and I figured that might be a little better cuz perhaps I could work somewhere on a provisional basis while I work towards getting my Masters.
Let me recollect if you guys think I made the right decision.
PS- since it would be my 2nd bachelors all my classes would be geared towards speech...no core classes I would have to take. And if I in fact went "hard", by going full time I could be done with the 2nd bachelors in less then 2 years. Two years spread-eagled if I did 9 credits per semester.
What was the inconceivable?
Your subject header asks what kind of job you can get with a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology.
Comrade, maybe? I think you need a master's degree to be a licensed speech-language pathologist.
Since you already have a bachelor's situation, why bother with a 2nd bachelor's? Just get the master's so you can get a real job.

I currently have a 2 gig sansa fuze with a 2 gig SD credit card that I LOVE. It's easy to find everything I want, fits in my pocket, has a radio, lets me record my voice and the radio, and its easy to use. However, it's full and i still have about three thousand songs left-hand on my computer. My first thought was to upgrade to a eight gig or bigger SD card, but I'm beginning to wonder if I should just go ahead and get the Ipod Exemplar. I'm kinda rough on my electronics and have dropped my fuze a good number of times and I hear that the Ipod is at bottom fragile. What do you think i should get? (please don't say Ipod just because of Itunes or because you don't know what a fuze is)

Reward when the Obama promised to create 3.5 million "green jobs"??
And recall how the stimulus was supposed to "create" jobs??
Now he claims that his watered down "revolutionize" effort is going to result in job creation..........despite the fact that the "reorganize" is currently nothing but $900 billion in subsidies for poor people and does NOTHING to address skyrocketing bring in increases.
In his weekly radio and Internet video discourse Saturday, Obama said his proposed health care overhaul would create jobs by making foolish business startups more affordable. If aspiring entrepreneurs believe they can stay insured while switching jobs, he said, they will start new businesses and rental workers.
"I hear about it from small business owners who want to grow their companies and cost more people, but they cant, because they can barely afford to insure the employees they have," Obama said. "One little business owner wrote to me that health care costs are and I quote 'stifling my business tumour.' He said that the money he wanted to use for research and development, and to expand his operations, has instead been 'thrown into the pocket of healthcare warranty carriers.'
steve g..............I put Obama's actual quote in the details. I understand the headline was Huffington Station's words. But they summed it up pretty good.
ieat...........So are you implying that if the majority would get out of progressive's Dems way, something sure could happen?? Well unfortunately that's not how it works.
circitz............I'm not saying the current healthcare system doesn't privation some serious reform. But more subsidies is hardly a solution.
Sounds more like a menace to me. He is being a Tyrannical baby. Jobs were invented before insurance was so he can kiss my a** with that one.

The Pocket Mirror: Spikehorn Meyer, a celebrity of his times
20.05.12
The president of our country was Franklin D. Roosevelt. J. Edgar Hoover was head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and had a reputation without spot or blemish. (Later when we heard what he did in his private life we couldn't believe it.) On the radio, we listened to Bob Hope, Amos 'n Andy and numerous soap operas for entertainment.
But we weren't without our own celebrity: Spikehorn Meyer. Wearing a rumpled plaid shirt, worn-out blue jeans held up with suspenders and sporting a huge white beard, Spikehorn was the sole proprietor of a marvel called Spikehorn's Bear Den and Wild Life Park, two and a half miles south of Harrison. An entire Sunday would be spent driving to Harrison, walking through the stifling heat to see the bears in cages and then driving back home.
iPhone app review: Pocket Tunes Radio - iPhone, Therefore, iBlog
by Jimmy Greenfield
Tuesday, December 30, 2008 - 9 am - on my couch
I have been exasperating to Pocket Tunes Radio last week and never in a way kind heart, I've been so torn as an individual on an app.
Allow me to rationalize.
Pocket Tunes is a streaming radio application that costs $ 10. It seems a tiny exorbitant but in reality it is definitely not when you consider what you get from it. The devastating part is comparing it to another application I use to date - WunderRadio, making my home directory of the top 100 applications.
WunderRadio is lawful extravagant. It is $ 5.99 and allows me to pay attention to just about any position other than the radio throughout society. And she is clearly working in the anon Kisser research into the application....
