How would I install a Pioneer deh-14 (car stereo head unit) in my room?

I have a Pioneer deh-14 car stereo lead unit and I would like to install this in my room to use as a cd player/radio (because I do not currently own one).

The only component I have so far is the head module (it has no wires,adapters,or antennas, it is just the head unit plain)

I am able to purchase
what is needed such as a psu or 12v dc converter/transformer.

I cannot use a battery on account as it is a fire gamble (my mom said no).

I need the exact (very detailed) instructions on how to do this with either the psu or 12v dc converter/transformer (must include power, antenna, and spieler wiring guides, and any other important guides available).

Ive heard that 10in subs hit harder than 12s but 12s have better sound, which should i choose?

Im imperfect to put a stereo in my car, but im not sure what sub to get. I dont want a knock off brand like Visonik or anything, but i dont want to get root crazy either. My brother has a 12 inch Pioneer Premier sub rated at 3000watts that i can buy. Is this a good determination, and what others should i try. Should i go with a 10 a 12 or two of either. Any help would be great, please give me your opinion.

some alpine prototype r 10-12 would do verry nice.

alpines botch too easy i would buy a good 12 there are 10s that hit harder but its usually like a kicker 10 vs. a cheap-o 12 like a spx or a visonik like you said but 12s have way more knock 2 them and volume also id say get that sub from you brother you wont be disapointed

My iPod integrated stereo in my car is slow and skips when scrolling through the songs. What's wrong with it?

The stereo is a Pioneer DEH 4900ib, I in. The stereo has a chord that connects in the rear of the stereo and runs into the glove compartment. The stereo has worked fine for the six months I've had it, but recently it has been dull-witted when searching for a new song on the stereo screen. The iPod is a second generation iPod Touch. I have no idea what to do. If anyone has any exposure with this, your help will be greatly appreciated.

Chevy Adding MyLink In-Car Entertainment to Malibu, Volt

Chevrolet said this week that it will add its MyLink wireless connectivity and entertainment solution to the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, in addition to the 2012 Chevrolet Volt and Equinox.

Competing against the Ford Sync , the Audi MMI and other in-vehicle connectivity solutions, the Chevy MyLink was shown off this spring. MyLink uses a 7-inch touchscreen display.

The difference between MyLink and the Audi MMI, however, is that MyLink uses a wired iPhone or other phone connection as a medium to import connected services into the car, while the Audi uses its own built-in cellular SIM. On the other hand, the Audi lacks any app capability besides the Google Earth nav overlay and associated local services, such as search. MyLink adds support for Pandora, allowing music to be streamed according to the user's preferences.
