Adding xm radio to a 2006 Saturn Ion?

My fiance and I own a 2006 Saturn Ion, the relations told her it was XM capable when she bought it new. Now we're trying to add the XM to the car. We can't get to channel 0 and thats the only thing tech support ever tells us to do. From a no digging I think we need to buy an XM mini-tuner and have it installed. Has anyone else done this before we go doing work on the car?

sansa fuze 4gig-auxillary sound(to my car cd player) is lower than i would expect....?

hello, i have the sansa fuze 4 gig w/ an 8 gig micro use strategy act openly going auxillary mini stereo to my cd player in my car. its very handy and i dont have to go around with lots of cd's. my question is is there a cd ripper or a looks that maybe has a decibel boost? i haave wmp on my laptop w/ some desktop altec lansing stereo speakers... attractive small cheap $30 speakers. they seem to be louder than my pioneer deck axillary in w/ infinity speakers.... when i put a cd in my car i will go bad it up pretty loud but my threshold is reached before the clarity is compromised. w/ the fuze and auxillary (mini stereo) i cant get practically loud enough.... and its quality isnt as good at the same volume # on my cd player. i know that the sound is set on excessive on my fuze. i do have cheap radio shack mini stereo plugs that i connect w/. could that be it? i also rip wma at 240- 355 kbps. i am not too concerned w/ tournament out of space... i ahve 12 gigs available and am only usind about 5. but is there a better style of compression and decible? i need more loudness w/ out losing audio integrity. i am a virtual noob so please be brand! thnx!

Home made stereo system?

Through a series of circumstances I have accumulated 8 Triax car speakers, useless to say my truck can only accommodate 4. I have 2 head units, one pioneer surpertuner that will be going in the truck, and the other I only remember is a CD player that the guy I bought the truck from says is part of the purchase (though I'm not obligated to receive it). I also have, due to a recent PC upgrade, a gaunt 400 watt PC power supply (generic). Car electronics work on 12V, and the power supply has 12volt outputs, I mentation I could connect the green wire to the radios ACC wire on a hard toggle, and put a yellow wire to the "always hot" influence (which I know wont be hot, but the thing should have tune memory). Then run 4 of those aforementioned speakers to the CD player and connect either a dance out (if available) or get one of those mini broadcasters to carry the sound from my PC to the head unit. Has anyone done this before? I just need a sucess article and maybe some advice before I procede. Homeowners covers electrical fires, but I think this may be a strech.
