My 91 year old grandfather had a measure maker put in today.
He is a ham radio enthusiast, has been all his life. This is his only hobby and interest.
Can you tell me if he will still be able to operate his ham radios?
Or will it disorder up his pace maker.

You can phone the manufacturer (Medtronic or whoever) and get their response.
I work with industrial strength electromagnetic fields, and I believe there are limits to alert out for.
Even so, I would expect no hint of trouble as long as your grandfather stays away from live, tuned antennas at his 1000 watt limit.
But if it were me, I would check up on anyways.
Even if Ham had is radio authorization, there would be no other hams aboot in the entire world, so bless that Dove man!!
1- is it firm that if an electronic device is not in use, that it wont be effected by emp?
