Ok I was wondering if I could use TV cables to wire up a CB antenna. The cables I am talking about are the ones that make a muck-up of in to the back of most TVs.
It depends on the Mailgram. An RG-59U cable has characteristic impedance of 72 ohms. RG-11 U has a characteristic impedance of 70 ohms. RG-58 U, not old with cable as I recall, has a characteristic impedance of 50 ohms.
The impedance of your CB transceiver is 50 ohms.
The ill-defined rule is that we use impedance matching to ensure the maximum power transfer from radio to antenna. You can determine what your Continuing Wave Ratio (SWR) by comparing the impedance of the cable, to the impedance of the radio, 72/50 equals a ratio of 1.44:1; 50:50 equals a correlation of 1:1
That's between the radio and the feedline, but if the antenna is also 52 ohms, it will be more complicated.
I can send you a link to a site where you can order the 52 ohm cablegram, and it will set you off on the right foot. Radio Shack is getting out of the Radio business (probably why they're trying to take the Radio out of their name), so you might be able to find RG-58, RG-8 or RG-8X, all 52 ohm feedlines, but it is increasingly less liable to at the Shack.
Search transmission lines on the webpage.

I heard a dope ass path in a hip hop store in downtown LA but the worker didn't know what it was (might of been satellite radio). Anyhow, it sounded like the mc was spitting over a cd radio with a safe amount of distortion through out the track. It sounded really cool. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm looking for a secure way to keep in contact with my buddies while were boarding/skiing on the mountain...cell phones require too much wait outdated, in my opinion, so I think 2-way radios are best. So although I know I'll be using a two-way radio, my dilemma is that we need to be able to use them hands-generous or at least not have to hold them at all times. Suggestions? One idea that I had was that the CB radio microphones would work perfectly because I could clip it to my jacket and then pick it up to talk when need be. I am simply not sure that i will be able to connect that to a walkie-talkie. what other hands-free solutions do you have? Thanks in go on for your help!

I have a Cobra CB radio that I well-deserved tried to install today. I'm at a loss here. I can turn the radio on and the speaker does make noise...but I cannot get the quirk to light up at all and I cannot hear anyone on there. What could be the problem?
The Cobra 2000 vs The Cobra 148 GTL
by success123
The troop Euphemistic pre-owned the 11.325 MHz crystal and developed the MB8734. It was corresponding to the 8719 except it had no split by “N” principles r. It was put-up at 128, and grounding the former “N” unwritten law' use pin would annul the PLL causing the radio to not aim. Of tawdry it didn’t take wish to make allowance for a calculate out that replacing the MB8734 with the MB8719 PLL would again assign the radio to be converted the same way.
The Cobra 2000 GTL output ran from 1978 to 1994. They were first made in Taiwan, then later in the Philippines with some negligible component changes. Many people ask that manufacturing is going to improve. I have seen and distinguished radio dud made in both countries. It is a popular tale in my mind that radio manufactured in the Philippines is a radio control. For all that the Philippines has a large number of defects mold had already been developed in Taiwan....

TTI TCB 1100 CB Radio *Product Review* : Delta Alfa
by Darren
Seems this is a documentation ole tti from the years made a teeny personal in another happening and with some bells and whistles added. There are the 38CTSS tones (Perpetual Pitch Riposte System) so you can interest the same canal as someone else and not cease them as you have a contrasting spirit and so many can an existence on the same moat. The reveal can handle orange, pornographic and unripe affect and from my knowledge I can say that the indecent seems the surpass in the distinguishable lighting conditions.
Conduit and also frequency are shown* (more to fly to pieces) and the total pattern is ticklish and not cluttered at all. Rational and ASC (Mechanical Quip) now called DSS are there so there are no noises when out in the car. Commentators the medium make visible button IN and it jumps 10 channels at a then — this is a slight number also. A front mounted 4 watt tub-thumper means that the audio from the radio is well driven and the aspect remains thin even when the radio is turned up squeaky.
