alright. i differentiate these arent exactly quality speakers and have blown them before and gotten them replaced, but now warranty is out so i have some questions.
I see there are videos online for replacing cones etc. anyone certain what kind of cone i would need for this kind of repair...
or if for whatever reason i cannot fix the speakers, is there a way to bypass the blown speaker to consummate the circuit so i can at least have one sub in my car?
idk much about speakers, but am very hands on and am half decent w/ electrical.
links and suggestions are appreciated.
biggest possession is money... college student and cant afford a new set as of now
First off, if u pauperism to fix those speakers u need to get a smaller amp. The one u have is too powerful, no wonder u blew them. My suggestion would be to get new speakers that can handle that kind of power. they prolly would be graceful expensive for speakers like that, so if u do that, dont get sonys, sony makes good cd players, not speakers.
But for the sub, yes u could. It might sound a bit wierd with barely front speakers and a sub, but u can do it. just hook up crossover to the to the sub instead of the speakers

Don't in succession sequentially it up so loud until you get quality speakers
I want to know what to look for when I'm buying my subwoofers and amp. Inside my car I have 4 MTX Audio 3-way speakers pushing out 25w RMS a piece. My Jensen in-dash dvd speculator puts out about 14w RMS for 4 channels.
I want my subwoofers in a sealed box in my trunk (I drive a 2001 Grand Marquis). I insufficiency some really good bass, but I don't want the whole street to hear the subwoofers banging from half a mile away..I just now want a good clean sound. Also, I need to know that if my subwoofers are putting out 250w RMS a portion, does my amp need to match that per channel RMS? Or is it peak power?
Sorry if i've confused you...I confuse myself lol.
I was listening to music when all my speakers went out. I recognize it can't be a fuse because i have 2 12 inch subs in the back and they work fine. No sound from my speakers, but subs are fine.
Now the speakers then work again for just a few moments, like when i go over a speed bump, take a fast turn, or turn the subs up honestly loud. They work for about 4 seconds and then stop. So i think the wiring to the speakers is fine and i think the head element is fine and i think the fuses have to be working. I also know the speakers aren't blown.
Can anyone help me find a solution to the enigma. It sucks to drive around with nothing but loud bass booming.
I've got a '04 mustang with the mach 460 system. I've planned on alluring everything out and redoing the whole system. Ive already picked out a good in dash dvd/mp3, etc. headunit but still cant decide on the door speakers or the rear speakers which are 6x9s. I also wanted to get perhaps (2) 12" or (1) 15", and a good amp, and maybe a capacitor. I just cant decide what to get.. Any suggestions on what I should get?
woops the speakers are really 6x8s
Okay so I got this new amp the Chew PowerZone P1400.4 RMS 350 watts per channel. I just don't know how to wire this amp to 7 speakers. There are 3 3.25" in the dart, 2 5.25" in the front doors, and 2 6x9 in the rear deck. The guys at fry's told me this amp will work with my car, but I pauperism a second opinion. So my question is this, can this 4-channel amp power all those speakers?
The speakers I'm getting except for the 3.25" are all full-range speakers with 3-way or more. If there is a diagram you can anticipate that would be great. Thanks for the help.
Along with the amp I have this sony deck (Sony CDXGT240 ). I started intellectual that maybe I can connect the 4-channel amp to the 4 speakers (5.25"s and the 6x9"s) and the 3.25 speakers can be directly connected to the deck. Is this the way to go? Only hornet's nest I see is that the deck can only provide a peak power of 52 watts per channel and the 3.25 speakers need 75 watts RMS i accept (Infinity Reference 3032cf). So is this a problem I need to be concerened about? or is there another solution? thanks again.
I'm looking for the paramount Component Car audio speakers for under $150. I have an amp capable of pushing 175W RMS @ 2 OHMs or 75W RMS @ 4 OHMs. Thanks

Every holiday begins full of hope. The sun will shine. The sea will sparkle. The arguments will be minimal… But there's often a moment when that hope begins to fade. Or, as happened on a recent camping break in Dartmoor, is extinguished altogether. It was two in the morning and the rain had been falling, with extreme prejudice, for hours. The smell of sick from where my young daughter had thrown up her "campfire supper" still filled the tent. Finally, the combination of rain and wind overwhelmed our flimsy "pop up" tent. It collapsed – the wet nylon smothering us in the dark. "What are we going to do?" wailed the kids. My wife looked to me for an answer – not a place she usually finds one. But this time I was up to the crisis. "Quick," I yelled as if we were doomed passengers on the Titanic. "Into the Jeep!" A cream-leather and polished-chrome lifeboat in the storm…
