Is that proper? I know I listen to my MP3 more, but still listen in the car specilly XM. what about other teens?
Teens are only interested in things aimed directly at them. They dont mind a look after about anything but their own lifes and things that affect personally.

During Mozart's in good time always, they said children don't listen to baroque anymore because they just listen to Mozart.
During Johann Strauss' opportunity, they said children don't listen to Mozart anymore but went hip dancing to Strauss' waltzes.
During Scott Joplin's unceasingly a once, they said children don't listen no more but boogie woogying jazzing around.
During Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis' hay days, they said children don't hark to anymore but wasting time rocking, rolling and swinging around to satanic music.
During the Beatle's fame, parents asked children why can't they just stay with Elvis or Lewis or Chuck Berry rather than worshiping the rag tag horrifying British group.
During Abba and Madonna's time, parents asked why their children spend their outdated in loud dancing halls rather than the cool melancholy of the Beatles.
When CDs and walkman came out, parents memories their children no longer knew how to sit down in the living room listen to the screech of a vinyl record competitor.
Today I am asking why our children listen to those ugly music pretentiously called RAP. Why can't they listen to some documentation old noisy heavy metal. What's an IPod? How could the quality of sounds from a tiny IPod be better than a Bose playing a CD with sensarround.
Tomorrow our children would ask their children why they pay attention to to silly funny psychedelic sounds absent of any harmony or rhythms.
Parents are always outdated and we should all call to realise that someday sometime everyone would feel a loss of control because our familiar idols and technologies and careers are no longer nearby. But the world moves on. Tell your dad, the world can move on without him because he is not listening.

I'm not a teen (mourn) but I think I can give you a realistic answer.
Actually it's not as bad as some think. Over 90% of the population still listens to radio at least once a week for 15 minutes or more. That includes teens. Sometimes, though, teens won't allow in it because they may not think it's cool.
The formats (generes, type of music) is key. Country (believe it or not), Urban (rap, hip-hop) and Top-40 (Pop) are the most accepted formats for kids and they still listen. Younger teens listen to radio Disney wjhere available. That's where they find new music.
The ratings use that controls radio has recently introduced a new device that people wear like a cellphone - it picks up signals from any stations that are audible to the wearer. This is reflecting to be a solution to the problem of measuring listening habits of those of all ages. They used to rely on a written date-book that was commonly thought to be filled out by the mom in the house for everyone. This will fix this problem (in the top-50 cities) because everyone in the family will get their own device - called a PPM (Little People Meter).
Though teens DO listen to MP3 players and fool with Gameboy type devices, they still hark to to the radio. When in your car, you are under the control of the person driving, So if your folks have XM in the car you'll be exposed to it more than others are - whether you like it or not Percentage-wise, not many people have right-hand man radio,so it's not really affecting regular radio that much.
To sum up, teens listen less than they did several years ago, but they still listen in sufficient numbers to cause radio viable to all.
im basically looking for a way to keep the domestic radio but be able to plug in the mp3. those cheesy transmitter things have too much static... (one of those tapes that you plug into an mp3 is out too, because its only got a cd sportsman)
well, i tried the site provided, and they have noting for buick... its a 2002 buick century, with the reservoir stereo. only cd, no tape...
I desperate my Zune (MP3), and am stuck listening to Radio in the car. I look at it as an opportunity to find new music that I like, but I don't know of any stations other than 101.1, 100.3, 91.9, 90.9, 99.5, and 99.9. More often than not, there is music on that I don't nurse b like for. I'm looking for new stations, specifically those of the indie or local variety, because the bands featured are most likely to be playing in my old folks' away from home, Jammin' Java. I live in Springfield, VA, so naturally they would need to come through there. Facilitate!!!!

My boyfriend and I can never approve on music while we're in the car together. He likes to make his own music and he listens to some rap when he isn't listening to his own beats. This is all fine and good but he plays the same things all the just the same from time to time! He even hooks up his mp3 in my car when I drive it.
I like to listen to the radio and he says the radio sucks. When I turn on the radio, he takes his phone/mp3 trouper and puts it to his ear to tune out the radio. Or he pulls out headphones.
I wish he'd listen to the radio with me sometimes since I have to endure his music whenever we're in the car. I don't think it's tolerable that he gets to listen to whatever he wants whenever he wants....I hope that made sense.
Please help us out. Thanks.
The two of you could produce a playlist with songs that the both of you like and put it on his MP3 player for when in the car.
My boyfriend and I have similar issues. Our tastes in music aren't too assorted, but I listen to some stuff that he won't have anything to do with and there's some of his music that I absolutely cannot stand.
If you guys can agree on some songs you like and put them on a playlist, that'll bail someone out you some argument.

I'm 20 (gonna be 21 on the first of oct.) and currently in college. The transportation systems in the offing the university are extremely crowded, and I'd prefer to drive myself. Here is what i want in a vehicle.
1. Transmission: Manual. most people don't use it, but it gives you outstrip control of the car, IMO
2.Size, I'm gonna be transporting myself, my girlfriend, and some of my other friends, and i need at least 4 seats. I'll probably long for a mid-size,or a compact (if it has plenty of room in the interior)
3. Type: Either a sedan, coupe, pickup, or disconcerted SUV (such as the ford escape)
4. New or used: Either, If i get a used one, It should be in useable condition, and a warranty would be good, yet it's not completely demanded. If i get a used one, i probably want something fairly recent. But a new one would be great also
5: model year: any, but I would prefer a 1994 or later.
6:Features: self-regulating windows, an alarm, an FM radio, cd/mp3 player, and a GOOD ac. It's as hot as hell where I live. Don't get me started on the summers. My dad owns a 2000 nissan boundary, and the ac is really crappy, and we had to take it in like 3 times.
Class: a typical car will probably be for me, but if there is an affordable and high rank sports car out there, that would be good.
Speed: It can't bee too slow, and it can (but doesn't have to) be extremely fast.
Fuel: I am open to getting a composite. But Chances are I'm getting something that uses typical gas. But I don't want something that uses too much. around 20-30 mpg or higher would be good.
Storage set out: I don't need to much, I'm just carrying my supplies, a laptop, my ipod, and some cds to listen to in the car.
Where I'm going: I'll be going to grade, to stores, and stuff, as well as road trips. The car should be generally durable.
Make: I'd prefer to buy american brands. Although other kinds are substantial too. Here are some brands I'd like to buy from:
Ford
Chevrolet
Dodge
Toyota
Nissan
Honda
Jaguar: I remember this is absurd, but if you can get an affordable car from them, that would do.
Land Rover
Price: $35,000 at the highest. I'm kinda tight on filthy lucre, but the transportation offered here sucks, so i need a car soon.
How do I blaze an cd with mp3 files for my car radio? I have windows media player and itunes on my computer, would either one of these work? If so, can you provide me some instructions?
