im barely learning about installing audio systems in cars/trucks. can anybody help me with the vocabulary and terms? ex. amplifiers, sub woofer, etc.... and when they talk about speakers for benchmark they say 12s or 15s are they talking about the diameter of the speaker or does it have something to do with the bass?

I have a Sony CDX R3410S HU with Sony 6"X9" 300watt speakers in the tush and 4" speakers in the front dashboard. I have a pair of 6" round Sony speakers, which I want to rivet in my car, suggest how can I do that, can I connect it in parallel with the front speakers. (All speakers are 4 Ohm). I have small car and can I create an MDF enclosure for speakers and hibernate it beneath the dashboard.
I also plan to buy a 4 ch sony amplifier which I will connect to a subwoofer and to the speakers. My HU has only 1 Pre out, How do I do the same and where can I get a design for 12" Subwoofer box with lens top, I will get it built by my carpenter.
I am a novice but want to create a great audio system, please suggest and guide how I can do this.
All ineed is about 20-30 watts generate and able to connect a cd player to it.This is for my work place not a car.Thanks for any help.
