Should I return this DVD Recorder/VCR Combo?

I purchased a DVD recorder/VCR combo from Worst Buy just a few days ago. It is an LG Multiformat and sold for 249.99 or something close to it. So far it has not given me any major problems. However, I presume from reviews on the best buy.com site, amazon.com, cnet.com, and epinions.com. Most of the reviews about this product are horrible. The item starts to just stop working after a few months - sometimes sooner. Many report that the unit gets very very hot. The other replica at bestbuy which is a Panasonic for 299.00 has also gotten bad reviews.

I have a Panasonic DVD player (not recorder) and have had this for several years and have had no problems with it. I'm judgement that maybe DVD/VCR combos are just not built well. Is this the case? I'm thinking about taking it back and looking to see what Sears has to offering. What do you suggest? If I pay 250 bucks for something it had better last for several years like all my other electronics.

Do portable Tv's have scart sockets at rear, like their big brothers?

I have a Magnavox DVD/VCR player. The VCR side still works consummate. I watched a movie a few nights ago and it played fine but once I took that one out and put a new one in, it would no longer play. It opens and says it is reading it but never plays. It even makes the sounds as if it is irksome to read it but can't. And tips on how to fix it without having to buy a whole new DVD player?

I have had this VCR/DVD player for absolutely awhile. It played everything perfectly and then one day it decided to just stop playing anything? I cleaned the lens immediately (removing the cover and spray it with dust remover). This resolved the issue but I could only play about half of my DVD collecting. Now, it's starting this again. Suggestions on fixing this besides ejecting out my window?
I found a way to expand the region codes so now it's playing everything. Thanks for the suggestions.

Can I chronicle tv a RW-DVD disc? I have a old VCR player that is just connected to the tv with the red white and yellow wires, in order to record tv to tape i about i have to Connect the coaxle cable from my converter box ( I get tv from a antenna) to the vcr to the tv. And i have a vhs dvd recorder to transfer tapes to dvd but it doesn't have a coaxle input. So is there a way to through up the new recorder or use the old VCR with the new VCR DVD recorder to record tv to dvd with out having the antenna coaxle input thing on the new VHS DVD recorder? Please improve if you can thanks.

We are redoing my basement into a teen hangout and I beggary ideas for this stuff:
~ Dance Floor - Like red yellow purple blue stuff like that like tiles only close-fisted enough for like 2 people at a time or maybe 1

~ Paint - I want like lime green and teal/turquoise

~ Decorations - I was meditative of old scratched up DVD's or CD's that don't work hanging from the wall and my fave singers posters and a lava lamp something like that

~ Appliances - I want like bean bags , moon chairs stuff like that AND A COUCH!!!

~ Colors - I deficiency like the furniture and stuff like everything to be bright like lime green orange yellow purple down ONLY HOT PINK NO LIGHT PINK and stuff like that

~ Entertainment - I have a GameCube a Wii a TV DVD player that plays CD's too a VCR and an ipod and an ipod lecturer to play it


TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK OF MY IDEAS AND PLEASE TELL ME ANY MORE IDEAS YOU HAVE I WANT ANYTHING BRIGHT AS LONG AS IT IS Optimistic/NEON I WILL HAVE AN OPEN MIND!!!!!
