Today I bought a SONIQ QSL423XT 42" FULL HD LCD TV and hooked it up to my Panasonic DVD player and Wii and connected my 5.1 speakers through the DVD player.
The first id that I noticed was that the image quality when watching TV (both HD and SD) was fairly average, with visible pixilation. The TV is connected to the front aerial via a coaxial cable and the DVD player and Wii via audio video cables.
What I would like to know is what I should do to increase the materialization quality? I know about using HDMI cables for connecting DVD to HDTV, but as the DVD player isn’t blue-ray this shouldn’t matter nobility? I'm very new to all this and have only tried playing around with the basic picture controls on the TV so far.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I have a blu ray DVD player and a LCD tv that's has a relentlessness of 720p and I got the DVD player hook to it via hdmi cable, but it's not a very good picture is it worth to keep the DVD player?
inorder to politely view the nice picture you will need to have it running at about 1080i or better 1080p, the 720p is like the regular tv you buy 720x648 resolution as 1080p 1920x1XXX resolution (i forgot what the second part is), well u might wanna keep it coz u might in the unborn buy/upgrade to a new tv then u have to buy a new bluray dvd player.

Even at 720p blu-ray has a noticeably well-advised picture than DVD, with nearly 3 times the resolution (1280x720 vs 720x480 pixels). Blu-ray is accomplished of full HD 1080p (1920x1080 pixels) which is the ideal resolution to view it at on screens over 46", but 720p is still a ample improvement over standard definition material. It wouldn't hurt to keep the DVD player around, as long as you have the space and the inputs, unbiased to see which is better at upscaling DVDs.
is there a way to get rid of this and fill up the shield without stretching the image? also why are movies made like that?, im using a 1080p hdtv, hdmi cable, blu-ray player/dvd

I was simply wondering cause i just bought a dvd player and it only came with the regular red, yellow, white cables. I scarcity to get it in hd, but i didn't know if the hdmi cable or the component cables are the same.
I have a Mitsubishi HD1080 series tv.
A Vizio pornographic ray dvd player.
If i get a HD cable box from Comcast; the hd box will plug into wall through coaxle. Then use HDMI cable to hook up comcast hd box to the blue ray player. Then use component cables to glue blue ray player to my tv.
Will that work to get high definition?
The reason for component cables is because my tv does not have HDMI.

10 Reasons Why iPhone 5 Doesn't Stand a Chance Against Motorola Droid Bionic
04.09.11
2, Higher megapixel camera compared to iPhone 4 and a slimmer and thinner design.
In the first half of 2011 the heated battle was between iPhone 4 and HTC Thunderbolt. Henceforth the fight will be between iPhone 5 and Motorola Droid Bionic. Both of these smartphones are right up in the hype clouds, and hopefully they can both live up to the hype.
Here is a look at 10 reasons why Droid Bionic will score over Apple iPhone 5.
Display Size: Motorola Droid Bionic uses qHD (540 x 960 pixels, 256 ppi pixel density) TFT display for its 4.3-inch screen. qHD is a display resolution of 960×540 pixels which is exactly one quarter of a full HD 1080p and three quarters of a 720p frame, in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Droid Bionic’s screen fits the same 16:9 ratio as your HD TV which, in conjunction with that extra inch or so, and makes film and TV viewing a far more natural fit. Full HD resolution (1920×1080) looks good on 40-inch LCD TV, but here we are talking about a quarter of the full HD resolution (i.e. 540 x 960) which perfectly fits the 4.3-inch screen and is more than enough to get that HD effect.
