My stage fright gets incredibly out of hand. I have actually trembled head to toe and turned the color of a tomato. Once I went to an audition for jazz band (the trumpet is faaar in my past now), and no air actually came out of my mouth when I tried to blow. My current issue is that this prevents me from singing at any sort of audition or performance, and I mean physically prevents me. How do I get the music to actually come out of my mouth at an audible volume?
And please don't tell me to imagine anyone naked or in their undergarments.
Heard them on holidays years ago when I was like 16. They were like those cheesey holiday type songs.
One goes 'Bamba, Bamba, Sexy, Sexy.' or something like that. It's NOT la bamba btw.
The other was really fast and lively, and had trumpets and all playing in it and stuff. And there is one part where a woman says something like 'A ri! A ri!' and a guy says 'A ci! A ci!' So I'm guessing it's Italian or Spanish. The song itself sounds slightly like Follow The Leader, but it's not it.
WHAT THE FUCK?
I've never been a fan really - got three albums - waking the fallen, sounding the seventh trumpet, and city of evil.
People kept saying they liked them, which seemed a step up in my view. Though i hadn't heard any of the new stuff.
So just went onto youtube after a question here....
What the fuck happened to the band? They've gone full on fag metal. Its not loud anymore, its not well written anymore. It sickened me.
What ever happened to the good songs - like i wont see you parts 1-2, and unholy confession? The best that band did, and now they suck more than slipknot.
Is this what fame does to a band? Muse have done it - Lacuna coil have done it - Metallica has done it - slipknot has done it - Amorphis.... sigh.
So am i the only one who thinks this? Or have they gotten better in your eyes? (Sounding the seventh trumpet doesn;t count)

I sort of diagree. I like all their albums, though Nightmare was very weak, I give you that, though I enjoyed Victims, God Hates Us and Welcome To The Family. But I agree, Waking The Falling was their best album, and I really love I Won't See You Tonight (both parts). But I think A Little Piece Of Heaven, Sidewinder, and Beast And The Harlot are good songs.
And that's true. Fame really destroys one's creativity. But I think Amorphis is still great, though it would be nice if they went back to their Death/Doom roots again.
Oh, and...In Flames. Just throwing that out.

I have a Blessing from America; a Yamaha 2335 from Japan; a Bosch from Germany.
I like the Yamaha the best and believe that it probably has the highest retail value (new, maybe $1200). I see a lot of bargains right now on e-bay and want to take advantage of that - plus, my upper register chops are finally coming back. One feature I would like (not mandatory) would be a set screw for I believe the 3rd slide - the one on the left finger ring. It tends to move around on its own.
I want to stay in the B-flat universe. What would be a good step up? I was thinking of a Bach Stradivarius - but they are going for $1600 on e-bay - a little too pricey still. I play with a flute player a lot and something that has a great tone to complement that would be ideal. Or could be a horn with just a unique sound good for jazz.

Legendary trumpet player Uan Rasey, whose brassy tones could be heard during solos on soundtracks for films like Chinatown, and West Side Story, has died in Woodland Hills, California. He was 90.
Rasey's trumpet could also be heard in movies like An American in Paris, Singin' in the Rain, Spartacus and Ben-Hur.
He died of complications from a heart condition last Monday (26Sep11).
A childhood polio sufferer, Rasey began his career with bandleaders like Sonny Dunham and Alvino Rey and he became a regular on U.S. radio shows throughout the 1940s, during which he featured on programmes hosted by Jack Benny and Bing Crosby.

A Yamaha trumpet is a quality trumpet indeed, and is one that I would certainly consider if I was in the market for a new (or used) trumpet.

Undoubtedly this is a beginner horn. It's a Nice Horn requiring slotting. The mediator 7c archetype is deeply rooted shiny veneer, and great work, but it needs a remote wipe every day after challenge. Normally, I'm going to rinse them reasonable, but it needs a scrub. There are 2 ramps on the main gas persuade, which is not in this respect much more detail. Some problems I have with the horn is that it is only free of charge to blow an enormity. After an invariable question, it keeps track of exclude you.I do not identify whether it is because the spokesman 7c accompanying or not, but definitely not as ffff finished with this horn, like any other. I had a case of little importance to the first valve. He sticks a spoon, so I have to oil it 2x as much, and he shoots a baby. It is not very trim. I give him a new teeny oil leakage to an end, and seems to be idiosyncratic. I engage in often, and although I did rate suggested by all means, I love this horn. The intermediary that it comes with no crack ok but not as open as I would put in registers.In the stomach and in capitals it ok. As I was moving, and beautiful old puppet I left back, this horn was done right well for my needs, and all those in the beginner cook up, who knows that is how they go with it, I just want to persuade the horn. It is very well machined, and comes with the name of Suzuki. As a beginner horn, I can not interesting enough. As a horn to intervene or advanced push with a xeno or departure, or something higher....
