What can I do about this situation?
My college Physics class is very rude to me. This morning I was insulted by a student and the professor did nothing.
I had to make a musical instrument through a straw a play "Mary had a little lamb" in it. I couldn't play it, nothing came out. My professor was getting irritated, and said "Why don't you follow directions?". Then this one guy named Lois yelled "I bet she can play the song "Eat cheeseburger" perfectly Fatass". The entire class laughed, I looked back at my professor and saw him chuckling under his breath.
I'm shaking and crying right now. I'm not fat, I weigh 160 lbs. What do I do?

Take this issue to a higher level get the school involved, you seem to be a target of verbal abuse and nobody ever should have to deal with that.
That's horrible.
Ignore the immature behavior and do the best you can in the class.
Talk to the professor. Tell him how you feel about what he's doing in the class - that he let the comment pass, and in fact, was laughing along. Then see what he says.
Based on what he says, take your next steps. You'd talk to your academic advisor. It's actually possible that you could choose to file a formal complaint over this kind of thing. Or you could just talk it out with her, to find a way to deal with this classroom environment. Your RD (the director of your residence hall) may also be able to help you with that. But it may be something you can deal with directly with the professor, and you *have* to give him a chance to hear your complaint and respond before you do anything more. So go talk to him. If it helps you to write it out first, do so. That can sometimes help you focus your thoughts.
If you cry, don't be embarassed. It's a stressful situation, and it's emotional. So if you can't control that, don't stress. Just get what you need to say, said.
BTW, doesn't matter if you're fat or not (and you are not). It's completely inappropriate behaviour, no matter what your size. If you were fat, it wouldn't make it correct, what they did. It'd still be wrong.

Didn't your parents every say, "You shouldn't care about what other people think about you"? Although true, it really isn't true. I know how you feel, believe me, so I have a couple of solutions I took.
1) You show them. Even if your not fat, you could be jiggly so tone up. Plus, spend extra time on work for that class, and make them eat their words!
2) Revenge. Punch that guy in the face... verbally. I have a knack for social destruction and a clever comeback or getting a little dirt on him will put him in his place. Just DON"T OFFEND THE PROFESSOR! You don't want to be put on academic probation.
3) Ignore them. Not the easiest answer and probably no the wisest, but it works on some people.
