can you transfer music from a laptop to an ipad?

my dad has got an ipad and is going to sell it to me only i have 1000s of songs on my laptop some that ive brought some from cds and some illegal downloads. i really want this ipad but i cant afford to buy all these songs again. can i transfer the music to the ipad or do apple make u buy all these songs

If I want to buy say 10 music CDs from 10 different sellers on Amazon, how much will the (*international*) shipping cost?

I understand there is a flat rate for shipping CDs internationally, something like $6, does this mean I will have to pay $6 shipping for each item? Which would mean I'd end up paying $60 to ship all 10 CDs as well as paying the actual price of the CDs??

i.e. if each CD was $10, would I have to pay $160 in TOTAL for all CDs and shipping rates?

If I want to buy say 10 music CDs directly from Amazon, how much will the total be with shipping (international) and all that?

say the CDs are $10 each, that means $100 in total. But Amazon says shipping is something like $4.99 per shipment (internationally), and $0.99 per item, so does that mean I will end up paying $100 + $4.99 + ($0.99 x 10)?

Which would mean I end up paying $114.89 in TOTAL for the CDs and shipping rates... Is this correct??

Can someone help me with this song?

K heres the full story:

so over summer i flew away across the country n all that stuff
like 2 weeks into my trip, my cousin took me out and i was in his car n we were drivin n stuff and he had his cd player on and after a fwe shitty tracks this one called "Track 02" came up and i really liked it. just hearing it, i fell in love with teh song. i dont even know why, its not my type of music. all i can say is i liked it soooo much. so after a few minutes the song is over and i dont get another chance to hear it again (cause i was oly in that city wit my cousin for a short period of time) but about 2 weeks later i saw my cousin again n we went to a hookah lounge and i jus kept playin tha song over n over and over. i just absolutely loved it.
About 2 weeks after that, my trip was over and i had to come back to america. o man sad times saying bye to everyone, til another 5 years.
anyways, so when i came home about a few days later i did some hardcore ersearching on the song.
i found the original version on utube.
k, well, after the first second of hearing the original one and seeing the music video, after ONE second, i was taken back to the times when iw as 3 years old. i remember this song on TV, my parents listenin to it, and eveythin. i was havin flashbacks of myself as a little kid, over my trip, the current day, everythin; for the first time in my life i was lost in my memories.
i just cant explain what the feeling was.
the more i saw the video, the moer i could remember of my childhood n stuff (my old house, myself, etc)
it was just a once in a lifetime thing, u kno?
so ive been looking for the version i heard wit my cousin, but i CANT find it for shit!
ive checked every remix on almost every site i could find, and nothin.
the version i heard had 2 high-pitched baby-ish female voices singing in italian n stuff.. damn..
id really appreciate it if anybody could help me find the track that i heard over there.

I was thinking vuze but i guess they cancelled their music or something. I'm thinking a pay per month kinda thing that can put songs on my zune from. I've noticed when i've downloaded from itunes that the songs eventually become unplayable on the zune and i have to keep redownloading them. I want to be able to put the songs on CD's too not sure what to do.
