I’m looking for some advice before I plunge into purchasing this flute off ebay. I am looking to buy a wood flute this purchase caught my eye on ebay:

Honestly, I personally feel that purchases from ebay are a little risky, but I really want to own a wood flute. The ones from brands like Sankyo and Yamaha cost over $15,000 which I don’t think I can afford. Furthermore, most distributors in my area don’t sell wood flutes ‘cause the demand here is pretty low. I understand that “you get what you pay for” theory, so I am not expecting a “flawless” flute. I’ll be happy with one that works.
So here goes,

What did you by? How’s the quality of the instrument? How is the shipping service? Is the store dependable?

I am really looking for second opinion on the store’s reliability. I would really appreciate it if someone could take look at the ebay store and my intended purchase for me. I am 100% new to ebay, so I am not really clear about many parts of the buying procedure. But I have been trying by best to research on the matter before making the purchase.
From what I know, the store accepts Paypal, which gives me protection as a buyer since Paypal covers the buyer up to $1000. Also, the customers feedback sound good.
However, I really want a second opinion. I don’t want to throw $1000 down the drain in case Paypal doesn’t refund me. I am also aware that those positive feedbacks can be made up. Also, their webpage says that if their factory do not have stock of the product, they will need about 10-15 working days make it. Since the flute needs to be shipped in from China, I am worried that I may not have time to open a dispute with Paypals. Another thing, the link of the shipping company they stated in the website does not work. Is it my computer, or is it just that their website is down or is there something dubious about the shipping company they are using? Lastly, I have been “observing” the website for a few months and they don’t seem to have many bids. Is it just because of a low demand or is there something wrong with the seller?
What do you think? Should I go ahead with this purchase? I really, really, really want the flute but should I take the risk and just depend on Paypal id something goes wrong?
Oh, if anyone knows where else I can look to buy a wood flute, please let me know too.

I am writing a book and I need some help.
The girl in my book plays the flute and she doesn't get accepted into Juilliard (they have a 4% acceptance rate) but she does get accepted to <insert musical college/university here>. Her mother is a rich lawyer.

I have learnt the flute for two years and I learn it from school.
I also play the piano and my teacher charges me about 1 dollar an hour.
I really really want to play the violin, as I love the sound and everything about the violin and i was wondering how much a decent violin would cost and how much lessons cost.

Of course I will join concert band in high school and maybe wind ensemble, but how much will I have to improve to be able to make it into a music school like Julliard?

I have a plated finish polishing cloth that I've used for a while but I heard recently that eventually they can eat away the flute's finish. I know they are not safe around the pads, and I don't store it in the case with it but are they not good in general? Thanks!
