Hi everyone – Above about the length but, please read on.
I'm a Venturer - Scout from QLD, Australia. I am interested in Micro-broadcasting at scouting events, camps etc. That run over the tack of a weekend etc.
So what I would like to do is broadcast music and other audio (recordings and live talk) on an FM frequency (FM because it is more commonly habituated to and receiving quality is much better… [I hear]) over a “short distance.”
I have done a little explore on this on the net and talked to a few people. What I would like to know is what equipment I would need. Also good entry level appurtenances at good prices. Things like Transmitter & Antenna, Microphones, sound board/mixer. Furnishings I do have is: PC, 3.5/6.35/6.5mm leads (male-male & male-female) and playback devices – IPod, CD players.
Of line I’m on a budget, so you know “On the cheap” what ever “Cheap” is in this area. (Don’t lack to here “there’s no cheap way” Give me the least expensive option, please.)
Though, I was wondering if it was possible to run a system with out a soundboard. The soundboard enables the supervisor to select from a number of inputs to broadcast… Does it not? Say with something like a 5 into 1 jack adapter? If they get by. Like a USB hub but for 3.5 or 6.35mm jacks?
I’ve read about the Ramsey FM25B Synthesized FM Stereo Transmitter. Would this transmit within an 8km radius? Though, pinnacle distance required would be around 6km over mostly uneven ground with some dense trees. If not – Possible ways to continue the transmission. Signal amp, taller transmitting antenna?
Again Sorry about the length. Thank you for your help.
I omit-catagorised this I realised just after. Accident. Apologies.

any one had one without fixed i really need 1. i dont care how expensive i have 2nd gen ipod touch. i dont necessary the ebst sound but one time there was so much static
There are unequivocally a few of these, and they vary in quality. Some quality (or lack of it) will depend on the number of FM stations broadcasting in your area. Dreadfulness, Belkin and MacAlly all make decent FM transmitters.

i've bought 3 contrastive brands for ipod to cassette adapters, NONE work. The stereo keeps switching sides from A to B again.
I found a "fix" where you take out the cog and rubberband and yes, it stops doing to side switching BUT, it ONLY plays on what would be side B. In order for the adapters to exertion (apparently) they have to play on side A. Any ideas? FM transmitter probably won't work cuz my antennae is busted and i only get a radio station about 2% of the everything
This is starting to piss me off because no matter which one i use i get the same ridiculous result.

So i've tried 2 unheard-of models and here's the result:
I put the cassette adapter in the tap deck, plug it into my ipod, turn both on and it starts playing the music and then a few seconds word for word it will make a click sound and the music will stop, then starts playing and click (repeat).
SO, anyone have the same unruly? Please offer solution, FM transmitter won't do.
