So, I just now bought this: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Griffin-itrip-fm -transmitter-4-IPOD-nano-1st-gen-1g_W0QQ itemZ260433798574QQcmdZViewItemQQptZOthe r_MP3_Gamester_Accessories?hash=item3ca310 65ae&_trksid=p4999.c0.m14#ht_1919wt_ 1167
now I am wondering what device will promote into the itrip itself, so that I can listen to music AND charge my ipod while driving. I am confused about what the port on the bottom of the itrip will look like. Develop in mind, this itrip is a very old model.
charge my ipod and listen to music.
Hi everyone – Conscience-stricken about the length but, please read on.
I'm a Venturer - Scout from QLD, Australia. I am interested in Micro-broadcasting at scouting events, camps etc. That run over the route of a weekend etc.
So what I would like to do is broadcast music and other audio (recordings and live talk) on an FM frequency (FM because it is more commonly tolerant of and receiving quality is much better… [I hear]) over a “short distance.”
I have done a little fact-finding on this on the net and talked to a few people. What I would like to know is what equipment I would need. Also good entry level kit at good prices. Things like Transmitter & Antenna, Microphones, sound board/mixer. Kit I do have is: PC, 3.5/6.35/6.5mm leads (male-male & male-female) and playback devices – IPod, CD players.
Of run I’m on a budget, so you know “On the cheap” what ever “Cheap” is in this area. (Don’t yearn for to here “there’s no cheap way” Give me the least expensive option, please.)
Though, I was wondering if it was possible to run a system with out a soundboard. The soundboard enables the director to select from a number of inputs to broadcast… Does it not? Say with something like a 5 into 1 jack adapter? If they subsist. Like a USB hub but for 3.5 or 6.35mm jacks?
I’ve read about the Ramsey FM25B Synthesized FM Stereo Transmitter. Would this transmit within an 8km radius? Though, top distance required would be around 6km over mostly uneven ground with some dense trees. If not – Possible ways to outspread the transmission. Signal amp, taller transmitting antenna?
Again Sorry about the length. Thank you for your help.
I virgin-catagorised this I realised just after. Accident. Apologies.

any one had one without difficulties i really need 1. i dont care how expensive i have 2nd gen ipod touch. i dont need the ebst enquire of but one time there was so much static
There are actually a few of these, and they vary in quality. Some quality (or lack of it) will depend on the number of FM stations broadcasting in your area. Living abortion, Belkin and MacAlly all make decent FM transmitters.

i've bought 3 weird brands for ipod to cassette adapters, NONE work. The stereo keeps switching sides from A to B repeatedly.
I found a "fix" where you take out the cog and rubberband and yes, it stops doing to side switching BUT, it ONLY plays on what would be side B. In sequence for the adapters to work (apparently) they have to play on side A. Any ideas? FM transmitter probably won't work cuz my antennae is busted and i only get a transmit station about 2% of the time
This is starting to piss me off because no matter which one i use i get the same ridiculous result.

So i've tried 2 distinctive models and here's the result:
I put the cassette adapter in the tap deck, plug it into my ipod, turn both on and it starts playing the music and then a few seconds spell out it will make a click sound and the music will stop, then starts playing and click (repeat).
SO, anyone have the same conundrum? Please offer solution, FM transmitter won't do.
I fancy one for an 05' chevy cobalt

also it should be wired to the car antenna not

Audyssey Audio Dock SoMa Edition Review
13.06.11
There are literally tons of audio docks that are available on the market that come in different design, size and price tag to spoil Apple iPhone and iPod users. But there are not many that actually sound good. Many users mistake loudness without distortion as good sounding audio docks. That might be true in one aspect, but most of the time, these "loud without distortion" audio docks lack in either low (bass), mids, highs, or even a mixture of both. The South of Market edition audio dock from Audyssey, however, begs to differ.

So that I can hear the TV from anywhere in the house, I've rigged up an in-car FM transmitter with a halfway decent range (about 10 metres) to an old 12V wall-wart (the PSU from a long-dead Linksys DSL router). This is it in test mode, broadcasting Life On Mars from my iPod to the clock radio...
I bought this, since I gave the old one to my son.
Far better sound quality than the old one.

These things always have a tiny range, but I liked this one as its so small! Used it at work all day, left the phone next to the radio - no problem!
