Yes, I know this question has been asked a million times, but Microsoft and Sony are always adding new stuff to their consoles.
-----
I love the Halo franchise. I've played Halo: Combat Evolved (The first Halo) on my PC and I always play online with this game everyday. I also played Halo 3 in EB Games and I also loved this game! Does this mean I'll like the 360?
I usually love to play online and some people usually say that XBL (Xbox LIVE) is worth the money to play online, because XBL has better servers while PSN's (PlayStation Network) servers always crashes. Is it true? Please give me all of your details about XBL and PSN.
Also, people say that XBL is more user-friendly and it has more features and easier connection to your friends. What does that mean?
Also, others say that PSN is exactly like XBL when you play online, except it's completely free. Is it true that PSN is like XBL?
I mainly enjoy FPS games, usually online with people that use headsets, and people say that there are more FPS games and that they are best played on the 360. But I also like adventure, RPG, Sandbox and Racing games. Is 360 great for FPS games?
People say that multi-platform games always plays and looks better on the 360. Is this true?
Which console has better exclusives, besides the graphics, 360 or PS3?
Does the 360 have good graphics? I don't really care about how good the graphics are, even if it's God of War III's graphics, unless the graphics looks about as good as Halo 3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
-----
Oh, and one more thing, if you suggest a console, then please suggest 2 games to start with.
-----
I also made a price comparison, just keep in mind that this is in Australian currency:
-Xbox 360: $450 (250GB Xbox 360 S console + one month of XBL gold + normal controller with 2 free AA batteries + headset) + $90 (One year of XBL gold) + $35 (Play and Charge Kit) = $575
-----
Thanks!

P.S. No fanboy answers, like: PS3 iz da bomz becuz of bluray, or any other unhelpful question.
P.P.S. Do not suggest anything about Blu-Ray movies, because I don't care about HD movies, I heard that you can use the Zune Marketplace on your Xbox 360 to buy full HD movies.
I almost forgot, the PC that I played Halo: Combat Evolved on is not a gaming PC. Don't suggest a gaming PC because it's expensive, and don't suggest the Wii because I already own one.
Put it this way, if you want to go online, you MUST PAY for the Xbox 360
It is FREE on the PS3, however you will be able to (sometime soon) pay extra for PS3 online to get access to beta testing and similar things - PSN plus I think its called.
But if you want Halo a lot, get the 360
And who's buying? and do they care if the PS3 is and extra 100$ or so than the 360?
One more thing, based on my own experience, I think PS3 games are more expensive than their 360 counterparts, but I could be wrong.
P.S. PS3 iz da bomz - sorry I had to because you put it there :)

I have both but if I had to choose one I'd go with a 360. It ultimately will cost more because you have to pay for LIVE but the community is better, IMO. If you plan on talking during online gaming, the 360 is the way to go. I play quite a few games on my PS3 online and people RARELY use a mic. On 360 that's not really an issue. LIVE DEFINITELY has a better online community feel to it.
On the other hand, you're getting a blu-ray player with a PS3 and playing online is free. Those two facts alone are worth a purchase. Then again, you don't care about HD movies so that's not really a factor. If you're picking based on JUST gaming.. go with a 360. The library of games is a lot larger, and as I started, there is a better sense of community on LIVE. I've met a lot of cool people on there.
Also, Multiplatform games (such as Red Dead Redemption, Batman AA, GTA IV, etc.) tend to run/look better on 360... Exclusive games (Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, etc) tend to look better on PS3.

You may love Halo, but if you buy the 360 just for one game, you'll eventually get bored and regret your decision. I've seen the comparison between multi-platform games and I believe that they are very close, but the PS3 wins in this department. Also, developers can do a hell of a lot more with exclusives to the PS3, they have a lot more to work with. An example of this is the blu-ray disc. If MGS4 was to be put on the 360, it would have to use several discs. There are also many other features available to developers, exclusives to the PS3 are generally a lot better, which is generally why I think games like Grand Theft Auto have gone down hill, because they went multi-platform. Xbox Live is probabally better than PSN at free, but PSN as massively improved, you now have the option to purchase PSN plus, whilst PSN is still available free, PSN Plus gives you £200 worth of free content and discounts for £40 a year. And also, no, PSN doesn't always crash, infact, it's never crashed for me, the only time it's gone down has been related to my internet connection or it's been took down for large maintenence to improve PSN. The PS3 graphics are definatelly the best using a HD cable compared to the 360, it's HD is a lot better, but this could be due to blu-ray, which is the highest quality disc about on gaming consoles. The 360 does have a few features that are inviting such as cross-game chat etc. But I believe the general experience of the PS3 is a lot better. If you was to buy 2 games out of the current games currently out, and you like FPS, I would suggest Red Dead Redemption, it isn't a FPS, but just from the games you say you like, I believe you would like it but watch some trailers, also, it's about 1 or 2 years old, but it's a great example of what the PS3 can offer, Resistance 2, or a newer one that I haven't tried. MAG, totally online, 256 players in one room. Both exclusive to the PS3.

(short and sweet)GET THE PS3!!!!!
Matthew Gavigan | Jul 26, 2010
I have both and dislike Halo 3 but my son loves it. I am into FPS. I love COD, resident evil, left for dead...
Xbox live is the best and even if Playstation starts to charge i dont think they can match XBL.
If you'd rather play co-op games go for an xbox, if you like to play on your own or split screen with a mate at home go for a PS3.
But at the end of the day, both are good and both have their exclusive games.

You can consider buying Xbox 360 Slim 250 gb :
Xbox 360 pros 250 GB slim
Xbox 360 S Pros
- Nearly silent when compared with the original 360.
- Smaller with a slimmer look.
- Built in wireless N and its fast.
- Integrated optical audio.
- 5 usb ports.
- Internal, but easily accessible 250gb HDD on the bottom of the console.
- Uses half the power of the original.
- Works with most of the old accessories, including the transfer cable.
Xbox 360 S cons

Please read ALL of my post BEFORE you suggest please.
I DONT want PC game suggestions. I know these games are PC like BAULDERS GATE has ALOT of PC games, but the 2 we have are console games and the 2 Norrath we have are console games. My husband will play the PC versions, but I want CONSOLE where we can play together.
Any CONSOLE suggestions (NEW or OLDER titles are all just fine, doesnt matter if it is a RECENT or OLDER title) for 2 player co-op and/or versus games like Baldur's Gate and Champions of Norrath? I know there are alot for PC, but I dont like games for PC where you have to click 20 different buttons on the keyboard while working the mouse to play.
The games I am talking about are Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 and Dark Alliance 2, also Champions of Norrath Realms of EverQuest and Champions of Norrath Return To Arms. 3 of them we have are for PS2, and 1 for Gamecube.
Me and my husband have had these 4 games for many many years and played them to death, We love the format and storylines. If anyone has a suggestion for Wii, XBOX 360, PS1, PS2 or Gamecube game that is 1 player and 2 player offline co-op (Cause we only have 1 of each system) please tell me.
Like I said I DONT want PC titles, I want something like those 4 games but for a console and we can choose either 1 player, or 2 player offline co-op. We have played those games so many times, we need something new. New characters, new story and just a game where we dont know every inch of the maps, every word of the story and maxed out on experience, skills, money, items and so forth.

I've bought a new xbox 360. Usually I used to softmodded every console I bought myself, But this xbox 360 was Pre-Modded by the shop which I bought it. Can anyone tell me how to check it? I really want to play on Xbox live but I am not sure that the system was Stealth patched by ixtreme or not. Thanks
Additional Details:
I've ask them already. They told me that the engineer team modded it, not them. So they don't know the details.

This is different from my other topic. I will link that later. This includes my HDTV setup and my consoles. I didn't want to post the games but why not. Just to make it clear, do not talk about money or wasting life because you are wasting your life if you come here to type that. Besides your post will just get flagged anyway. I was thinking about putting a projector and wall mount that white paper thingy. (Don't know the name of it sorry) I am going to stick with a 3D LED HDTV however until I can get more information on this. Well here is my list. No money related answers just comment on the setup. I am also looking for a good 7.1 setup. I was relying on Onkyo until I saw Samsung had its own 5.1 setup. I am looking for 7.1 speakers and receivers though. Help me with that and also how to connect them to my PS3 and Xbox 360. My country's has DTV but only the Latin feed. Me no hablo espanol! The other competitor's set top box doesn't support HDTV only SDTV. It will plug a coax cable from an antennae to the box then the box will pug composite AV cables into the TV. The TV will still make it look better though due to the internal features. Thank god for that! I just want to know if I can plug a TOSLINK cable into the box, because it supports Dobly Surround, into the receiver and if the 7.1 will revert to 5.1. Also the last thing is how do I setup the consoles with 7.1. Do I plug the HDMI cable into the receiver from the console then from the console to the TV or something. Thanks for your help!

i have a xbox 360 20gb and i want to buy a new 360 slim. i saw a data transfer cable at gamestop for $20 to transfer all my stuff to the new console. if i just recover my gamertag on the new slim 360 will it still transfer all my dlc and gamerscore or do i have to buy the transfer cable.
Please answer this based on the efficiency of the consoles. Use the following info.
I've been eyeballing and Xbox for some time now and the new Slim came out. Now my only concerns for the Slim are the possible problems that can occur. I watched a video that showed the Slim ruining a disk because the guy moved the console. Then there are many who are concerned about its size and the possibility of a red ring of death.
I'm not really sure what separates the Elite from the Arcade, but I think it has something to do with memory. So if someone can tell me the differences I would appreciate it.
Finally I'd like to know about WiFi. I know the Slim has it built in but what would I have to do to get WiFi if i got an Elite or Arcade?
I want to get the most out of an Xbox without a ton of problems.
Thanks to whoever answers this.
Xbox 360 4GB Slim Console (Unboxing)
Hello, Today I am going to be unboxing a Xbox 360 4GB Slim Console. The Xbox 360 console in this video is the newest of the Xbox 360 console's ...
No new Xbox until 2013, but that's okay
20.05.12
If you were looking for a new Xbox console to be shown off at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June, you're going to be sorely disappointed. If you're looking for more life from your Xbox 360, however, that news is just fine.
"There will be no talk of new Xbox hardware at E3 or anytime soon," company spokesman David Dennis told Bloomberg News. "For us, 2012 is all about Xbox 360." So gossip about an "Xbox 720" has been staunched. For now.
That largely has to do with the addition of Microsoft's Kinect motion sensor, a redesign of the Xbox Live online service, and the fact the Xbox outsold Nintendo's Wii and Sony's Playstation 3 throughout 2011. And since the 360 has been around since November 2005, all the tooling has paid for itself: Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter told Bloomberg that he estimates each console sold nets Microsoft about $115 in profit. Not bad for the grandad of the seventh console generation.

Microsoft launches a "new generation" Gio November 22, 2005, when the company introduced the Xbox 360, Nintendo, Sony and disadvantages in the market. Since then, the console has sold over 40 million units worldwide and has brought innovative ideas to the gaming industry in the form of Xbox Live, the online marketplace, and success as a player.
The new Xbox 360?. Here today, ready for tomorrow with a brand new, leaner machine in an all new black gloss finish. Wi-Fi is built-in for easier connection to the world of entertainment on Xbox LIVE, where HD movies and TV stream in an instant. It's ready for the controller-free experiences of Project Natal?you don't just play the game,
It looks as if 1UP is either on to something or purely guessing but they have started a rumor avalanche. When checking out Joystiq, Kotaku, and 1UP today, each one of them had a major rumor in the tune of a New Xbox console coming next fall catering specifically to Project Natal.
moooooooooohahaharrrrApril fools! We FX xbox mad fans think thats a kick ass name !!!bring in the dogs!!http://www.forums-xbox.com - For xbox mad fans only !!!!
The Xbox 360 seems to be gearing up for a mega update that can only be described as the new Xbox 360. With Valhalla, USB Mass Storage support, Project Natal and rumors of the Xbox 360 slim, it appears that we're on the cusp of a new Xbox 360.

I'm damn picky about the weapons I use. Having owned both models for the PS3 and Xbox 360 some (I bought and sold over the same time) I have high expectations catchy. As you can see, I persevere Xbox looks much crap-shooter then PSN is why I jumped back to the PS3 Xbox. My exit was the size of ammunition. Microsoft took the pain of a great emanation enabling users of the will of their games to the final application. However, the explosion of the fan on my Xbox Elite was still driving me absurd. Now, my Elite is not disobeyed, my ears seem reasonable in harmony with the tumult they establish. She first made me zealous when you play as exploration or Sort when you browse the management dashboard. With the PS3 proves fat and slim where hands-choice (metal products BOD informed). But like many fans I put up with the construction of shit blue blood for greater speed interface and file of my friends....
