boat prop for water sports?

i have a boat the i've had in the ocean for years we recently moved to a lake and now want to begin using it for water sports such as wake boarding and skiing. the problem is the boat does not come up on a plane quickly. It is an 18 foot center console with a 150 hp mercury mariner on it so i know it is not underpowered. i was wondering if there's a prop or something else that i could put on the motor to make it come up on a plane more quickly. Any feedback is greatly appreciated

Take the pitch down one notch and see if that helps. eg. if you are running a 21 take it down to a 19

Warning, watch your WOT rpm's, keep them within the manufacturers range.

Older Boat Decals and Information?

I have an older 18' 1975 Cobia fishing boat with a center Console. I'm trying to find the original decals to put back onto it. I'm not having any luck on Google. Any suggestions?

In MY March 4 column, I had a discussion about the fendering system on the bow of the 79-foot tug Mitchell Hebert that was on the hard at Platypus Marine Inc. in Port Angeles for a day while a marine surveyor did a hull sounding.

The fendering system is currently referred to as bow pudding and also is known as a moustache fender and tugboat beard.
