We just had the kitchen redone less than two years ago. I mean, we went full tilt! All Vulcan appliances, hand made solid cherry kitchen island with granite top with full sink, straining area etc...

I know this is probably an easy question, but I don't know anything about this stuff. When my brother passed away 10 years ago I brought home his giant stereo tower crap from the 80s. I hate it. It takes up so much room with the 3' high speakers that are going bad and the giant cabinet. The CD player doesn't work, so that's going in the trash. The receiver and turn table work.
So my question is, can I buy some nice small speakers and hook them up to this?
