I am a little worried about it being a money pit, because the mirrors, power pedals, and drivers seat controls did not seem to work when I test drove it today (at a local Ford dealership). The sales guy said they will see if it is a simple fix. Also, the step bars on the sides are pretty beat up, but I think those are inexpensive to replace.
There are some dings here and there and I am okay with those. The truck will be for handy work and transporting horse feed and supplies. I wanted something better than a beater without getting into debt (as you know these new nice trucks nowadays are 30-50K easy!).
Can these modern Ford engines last long passed 150K Miles? I am looking to trade in my 03 G35 sedan which will cover about 10K of my cost. Should I wait and save more cash? Thanks for any tips.

To be fair the F150 is a great truck, the electrical stuff common to start failing if not taken care of. The engines will last no problem, The new transmissions in the F150 are very good as well. I agree that the price for this truck is a bit steep cause of the mileage. It would be wise to buy an extended warranty. I am a Senior Master Tech for a Ford Dealership and I own this truck, Mine has 150,000 miles on it and it has never let me down. Since I am a tech I do not work on it unless it breaks and it has not broke so I never work on it. That's my two cents. Great truck just need to get them to fix the few things and lower the price a bit.

definitly wait thats too much mileage for that new of a truck my trucks a 95 f150 and it has 20,000 miles less then that truck and i got it for 1,500 so theres no losing with that lol but ima stop showing off what im trying to tell you is that should keep looking and youll find the perfect choice dont rush into it.

Greetings, I've got a 1984 Nissan pickup. I just acquired today a bench seat for it, as it could only seat two before and I hate bucket seats. The seat was ripped out of a 1995 Nissan truck and although it fits in the cab nicely, the holes don't quite line up. (big surprise) Can I safely drill into the chassis of the truck in order to accommodate it? Looking at it from my perspective, it doesn't seem as though I'd be drilling into anything important, but I'd like some feedback before I continue. thanks!
I want to take the bench seat out of my 84 S-10 pick up and replace it with bucket seats from a similar Blazer or Pick up. I have heard that the floors are different... Can this be done, and if so how difficult?
I agreed to help an old farmer tear down a shed and in it was a 1964 Plymouth Savoy 2 door that he gave me for my help. I'd like any information about this car. This car must be a real base model as it has no heater, no radio, no rear seats, two non adjusting bucket front seats, no sound insulation, manual transmission with a floor shifter and what appears to be plastic side windows. The engine appears to be a large one with two carburetors and the spark plug wires going into the center of the valve covers. The white paint looks OK but faded and should buff out and I'd like to fix it up. What information anyone has would be welcome.

I hope you are being serious about your inquiry. If so, you just won the lottery. What you are describing is a 64 Super Stock Race Savoy. They were stripped to the bone to make them lighter and equipped with 426 Race Hemis. Everything you describe was what they did to lighten the car. No heater, radio, rear seat. Just two plain buckets in the front. The hemi was the only engine that has the spark plug wires going through the valve cover and it came with dual four barrel carbs on a "cross ram" intake.
Congratulations!

Kellie Pickler grew up in North Carolina, so she knows a little something about allergies and pollen-coated cars.
Now, of course, the country singer who shot to stardom on American Idol in 2006 lives in Nashville, and knows a lot about the yellow stuff.
Oh my gosh, its so bad. Its about 10 times worse here, says Pickler, 25, fighting through sniffles Tuesday during a phone interview from her home. Nashvilles like a bowl. Everything falls down in it. And our winter wasnt that good of a winter, so it makes the pollen even worse.
