Is there a public access beach near Baytown, TX?

I existent off of FM 3180 in Chambers County, TX. I have driven around to Beach City and it seems that all the areas that are open to the water are private splash down. Does anyone know of a public area to sit near the water and enjoy the day? It doesn't really dire to be a beach with sand or anything. Just a place where my husband and I could lay out a blanket and have a picnic by the Bay.

Why can't CBC radio be on the USA radio FM dial?

I in actuality like CBC radio and I listen to it live internet stream all the time. I alternate between the choices of Canadian cities.

To USA's National Public Radio (NPR), CBC allows minimal commercial advertising which I think is good because it creates a better weight of funding for good programs than we have in the states, yet without the extremity of corporate-run media. The reality is you need funding for characteristic programming, and that is a balance between relying on some private funding but not an overdose of corporate control.

The best remainder of news is to not COMPLETELY ban private commercials, but put them in check. CBC does this perfectly, it's the best best outwit radio ever.

Why can't CBC try running some stations in the USA as like a CBC-American channel? I'd love to be able to listen to any clock air in the states and hear CBC
Edit: Americans would pay for the CBC coverage like pay per view and I would pay

As a imprecise rule, the government agencies in every country that oversee what stations can broadcast in various areas do not stand for foreign radio networks to set up.

That is a little bit like asking why National Public Radio cannot set up transmitters in Canada. It's a boom box service from another country!

Incidentally, why not just listen to CBC via streaming audio on the Internet?

Petersburg City Council considers increasing meals tax

PETERSBURG - The price of breakfast, lunch and dinner in Petersburg when dining out could soon be on the rise. At Tuesday's City Council meeting a proposal to raise the meals tax from 4 to 6 percent was discussed by City Manager William Johnson. The proposal was first brought forth two weeks ago by Councilman Ken Pritchett.

Johnson said increasing the meals tax could - based on 2011 gross receipts - yield an increase in revenue of about $698,228.

In 2011, the city collected nearly $1.4 million in meals taxes.
